For travelers from the North, head South on US Highway 77 or 281. Those arriving from the West can take Highway 83. From there, turn east onto State Highway 100 and continue all the way to the Queen Isabella Causeway. The Causeway is a 2.37-mile bridge crossing the Laguna Madre and the only road connecting South Padre Island to the mainland.
